Great colander and bowl combo. keeps liquids and objects on the ground, and when you want to drain it, simply turn it upside down on the side beveled edge and the water will flow out. This is especially useful for washing noodles when making udon or soba and washing rice before cooking. I'm very happy with this bowl, it's about time someone came up with something similar in stainless steel.

This bowl is useful but the holes are big enough to let rice through. I've used the bowl once and will have to use it more times before I figure out exactly how to drain the water without rice spilling through the holes. For me, washing rice is like this: fill a bowl with water, stir the rice vigorously, drain and repeat 5-7 times or until the water will not be clean. The final drain is important as I cook my rice in Berkey filtered water. Most of the bowls I found had holes in the bottom to allow water to drain out immediately.
