Very handy when working with brakes.

These little hooks make working with the brakes a lot easier. Once you've removed the calipers, simply hang them on the hook so you can finish the job without the calipers getting in the way or just hanging off the brake hose. Great value for money and if you work on your own machine you will use it again and again and be glad you have it.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I'll get back to you later

Just buy them. on Brake Adjusting Tools

I don't know where they've been all my life. For years I used wire, hangers, zip ties and nothing at all. Simply place the caliper on the wishbone or remove the spring. Until the last time I slowed down and tapped the caliper. He fell and hit me right between the eyes and broke my forehead. Needless to say, I stumbled across them and bought them straight away. It's worth it.

Why didn't I order them earlier?

I used them on my Tacoma's front brakes for the first time last night. I want to buy this sooner. It's a lot easier than using the hanger I used. The only thing I could change is to paint them orange (or some other light color). I have a can of Kubota in orange and I think I'll paint it. This makes them easier to find when you need them.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • Mostly fine, but...

Made in the USA! Strong, heavy, keep their shape

They are very strong and keep their shape. I mainly work with heavy trucks and this is the best I've ever seen. The most important part is that they have to stay hooked and they are the best at this task. 1/4 inch stainless steel will not rust. No stupid plastic caps to fall off, no paint or plastic coating to smooth, no light steel to smooth. They are simple and strong. Top quality! We recommend!

Cons

i need her for a while

I've used pretty much everything to hold the calipers. Coat hangers, twine, bandages have never provided a permanently satisfactory solution. So I swallowed a bullet and bought it. Slightly longer than most, they're made of stainless steel and are durable. I opted for a longer hanger to have some freedom to hang from one of the multiple coil spring spools. They have worked well on my Avalon so far. The front calipers have a shorter rubber hose so I could hook onto the coil spring in the perfect

Pros
  • Still happy
Cons
  • Security

Strong, works well for tools and equipment

I bought these thinking they were pretty expensive for what they are. Throw in a caliper on the other side, it stretches that bungee and suddenly the price isn't so bad. I work mostly with light trucks so the hanger trick doesn't work - I don't trust a 1 ton caliper with a piece of wire that can be bent by hand and I don't want to waste time twisting it. and unwind the hanger wire to make sure the caliper doesn't come loose and possibly pull out the brake line. So they work pretty well and you…
