JR Products 70315 Shur Latch Review

Shur Latch products arrived well packaged and as promised, 5.00 less than I would have paid locally. They are a direct replacement for the cabinet hardware that came with the 1984 RV. I will buy more!

I couldn't find any in our area. Good thing we have her at Revain. We bought 10 of these last year. They're not very well made. Cheap plastic tends to break, but it's just the ticket for our van cabinets.

They are not of very high quality but when you are trying to compete with what is already on the market you have little choice. The plastic is brittle and breaks easily. Beware of the "lifetime guarantee". Failure to provide proof of purchase directly from JR Products will void the warranty.

They are identical to the ones I replaced but they came with allen head screws which I had to go to the hardware store to get an adapter only to find the screws weren't long were enough, so I ended up using the original screws for fear of damaging the plastic screw holders intended for other screws. Fortunately no breakage and holding tight.

Unfortunately this happened to my old motorhome and there is no other replacement for it. They have cheap plastic and a terrible design. I have already exchanged 6 of them and after 8 months 2 broke again. And that after my mobile home is parked and not in use! (During this time the cabinets were probably opened 6 times).
