I bought this to put new speakers in my MacBook Pro. The size is big enough to work on a laptop and the magnetic slots are great for preventing screws from getting lost. This gives you a large, clean and bright workspace so you don't miss a thing. I plan to use it for other small jobs at my workbench. I would recommend.

I received one of these as a gift. Unfortunately, the shape remained deformed and never straightened. I returned it and bought a new one; Unfortunately, the same problem persisted even after several weeks. The top part, especially the right corner, remains lumpy and deformed. The left sidebar never lies flat, the sticks are up. Disappointed as this is one of the few larger rugs on the market.

I use this as a work surface for very fine constructions. The magnetic areas work well and there is a lip all the way around to keep small items from rolling off. It's been a few weeks and the matte is mostly flattened out, there's still a bit of curvature around the edges but nothing to take advantage of the effects. If you deal with electronics repair these mats are a must have. Only having room for small screws seals the deal. Having space for the little pieces that come out of my projects made me wonder how I ever managed without them.

I work with computers, iPods, etc. It's good for keeping parts organized, avoiding static electricity, and protecting my desk. My only criticism is that they are packaged rolled up and after a couple of weeks they still don't lay completely flat.

I like that nothing moves on it. Also heat resistant as I solder a lot along with a hot air station. The only thing I would like is larger sizes as many of the items I work on are larger than a rug. Side pockets are also useful. Overall a great purchase. I gave four stars because there were no large sizes and a burn mark (just a mark, no damage) from an exploded resistor. But held the table underneath.

I received a 16x21 electronics repair/solder mat. It came rolled up but after laying it out for a few hours it was completely flat. It's quite thick and offers good protection against the soldering irons, grease and oils I use. Cleaning is really easy. The size is good, but it's actually a bit too big to move, so I took a smaller one to make it easier to move. The magnetic areas are also good for small pieces of iron. I would buy again and recommend.
