My guinea pigs love this shelter! It is suitable for a plump guinea pig. The feeding bowl is very wide and suitable for vegetables. I'm taking off a star because my pigs keep pulling out the hay rack and ruining the hay. I still haven't figured out how to stop the pigs from removing the hay rack.

I have used this on two of my guinea pigs and would not recommend it to any small guinea pig owner. I found my poor Theo dead this morning with his head trapped between the metal bars of the feeder and could not detach Rest of the parts are ok, but if you buy I would recommend removing the back.

In general I like the product very much. Our teddy bear hamster loves the stump. It's big enough that he can comfortably use it as his nest. The bowl is a decent size, enough food for a day. The only part we couldn't use was the wheel. It's very small. Our hamster didn't even fit in. If you have a very small dwarf hamster this may work but is not suitable for larger hamsters.

Purchased to provide house mice with a dark place to sleep in a glass aquarium during the day. It was slightly larger than expected, but they immediately figured out how to scale nearby features to get to the top. The wheel is very quiet and turns smoothly enough to do sprints. The feeding bowl is usually filled with bedding, but it's a nice addition that helps keep the whole thing stable. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend!

My hamster loves it and since it combines 3 things a hamster needs it takes up less space in the cage.
