It does what you expect from a hat. You put it on your head and it keeps your head warm. So a hat that's just a hat works like I would expect a hat to.

Very good! Fits a little more for my head, but it's light and really suitable for any temperature. The only downside is that it feels like it will fall off a lot, but in this case you can just roll the top up a little. Otherwise it's great!

I used to try to buy slouch hats for my husband but they were either too small or stuck out in an odd way and he didn't want to wear them. Beanie was tight on arrival like most of them in my experience. What follows is my usual stretching ritual to ensure a comfortable fit on my large head. And no matter what I did, it returned to its original size. So I've been trying to get through it, but it's so damn tight it's giving me migraines. As others have pointed out this hat will not give you a baggy effect - the fabric is too stiff and the excess (which is excessive) looks upwards and more like the miter a father. I looked ridiculous in that hat. One of the problems is that in addition to being stiff, there is a thick seam at the end of the flexible part that keeps it upright. Descriptions of "comfortable" and "small" and all the reviews touting the roomy fit as excellent for plus size hats are misleading. The beanie on my head is much smaller than many examples show, and my $7.5 beanie size is quite large, but not the largest on the size chart. It's quite snug on the head, not loose and not "sloppy," but as tight as I can take with a knitted hat. I think that manufacturers of knitted hats usually use the term "one size fits all" to simplify the manufacturing process
