Description of Kitchen Craft Mushroom Cleaning Brush: Rubber Wood Handle, Soft Bristles for Effective Cleaning

Want to be a real fun-guy Show your sensitive side by treating your delicate mushrooms to one of these dedicated (and cute!) brushes. Although it's tempting to soak off any dirt, mushrooms should be brushed clean in order to maximise their flavours and texture. The delicate skin on mushrooms makes them easy to damage which is why they need a little extra love and some softer nylon bristles. It's not all about the mushrooms, of course! The wooden handle ensures a firm, comfortable grip for your hands too. Now, what to cook. This little mushroom scrubber measures 5.5 cm (2") wide. It comes with KitchenCraft's 12 month guarantee.

Good brush for mushrooms

Good brush for mushrooms. The bristles are less stiff than a vegetable brush, which helps keep the mushrooms from "ripping off". They also seem easy to clean.

The best brush for mushrooms!

This brush is perfect for cleaning mushrooms without damaging them. I replaced my old one with this brush and my only regret is that I didn't order it a few years ago. 10 stars. Salesperson. This brush arrived well packaged and was delivered 10 days early! Thanks very much!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some bugs

The perfect brush for mushrooms!

Just what you need - soft enough not to cut your coat but strong enough to wash away dirt. We bought two - one for wet use and one for dry use. Based on past experience, it's best not to let wet bristles stand up; The wood will eventually split. Hang bristles in a small glass.

Pros
  • Durable construction
Cons
  • Seniors

Cute and works well. :)

One day in a thrift store I found a very nice little mushroom brush that was painted to look like mushrooms. Then it got lost which was a shame but then I found this one! Externally, it's not quite the same as mine, but natural wood really is just as beautiful. Nice little mushroom brush that looks like a mushroom and does the job well. I love it. :)

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Something different

Seems to hold up

I've had one for a long time, my last mushroom brush, the wood has started to crack and I don't let it soak in water. This one seems to work well, the bristles are hard enough for brushing but not too hard like a vegetable brush just right. My only suggestion would be next time please coat the wood with polyurethane or whatever, it's just raw wood. So I wouldn't recommend it as a gift. I tried lubricating it with mineral oil to soak a bit.

Works well, high quality

Works exactly as expected. Sweeps all deposits of fungus. Due to my own cleanliness issues, I still feel the need to wash them off lest the brush save me time when cooking mushrooms. Before rinsing, it makes sense to brush off the residue as they are like sponges and absorb water when rinsing. Less mess, less rinse time, less water retention, less slimy fungus. Before anyone has to comment that I shouldn't wash my mushrooms, I already know that.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Not just for mushrooms

Mushroom brush different from vegetable brush. The bristles are softer to clean the delicate surface of the mushroom. Always clean the mushroom surface with a brush, not water. The mushrooms absorb water and lose their delicate taste. You can also use a mushroom brush to clean the delicate surface of some cookie cutters. More specifically, the cutters used to make Springerle biscuits, also known as Spekulatius biscuits. Because cookie cutters are made of natural materials and should only be…

Pros
  • Good marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Negative result available
