It looked used and rusty.

I just got this today and I'm definitely not impressed. It looked used and rusty. I think I felt like I could trust him given the way he said he was... well... new.

Excellent for the money

Every oil change shop in my country hates changing the filter in my VW Fox because it is horizontal and very close to the exhaust. It was easy with these pliers and I saved money with my change so it's already paid for itself.

Works fairly well and should last a long time

I have only used pliers for my own needs and will use a spring clip tool if needed. The feel and construction feel pretty solid and I've used the wrench twice with no issues. This makes it easier and faster to remove the oil filter. Good tool for the price.

Makes work with the attachments of chlorine dispensers easier!

Oh my god, that's awesome. I struggled for a year to open the feeder to add chlorine tablets. Even after opening the vent, removing the top was a major challenge. With these tools it is now easy to remove the top of the feeder. Don't fight this job anymore!

Universally adjustable 3-handle filter wrench works!

I have not used a long handle wrench before. This review is about the 3 Jaw Filter Wrench. I used this on a 2013 Kia Soul after trying a few cone shaped filter pullers. They "slip" unless you angle them to put more pressure on the filter. This triple wrench cocked it with no problem and removed the filter immediately.

Not very good quality.

Not sure what I expected from this $20 product but after only a month of very infrequent use (maybe 5 times) the pliers pull the pin and nut apart, so the setting can fall a part. As for the claw filter, which holds up a little better, although I'm not sure how long it will start to fall apart.

Cheap Tools: Tools and Equipment

I bought these to use for a short time and they were cheap. I hate the adjustable one and I'm glad I drive a car that doesn't need it because I'll never use it again. It slips a lot and the gears sometimes bind. The pliers are standard oil filter pliers that are easy to bend. Last time I bent over and got these that looked and felt the same as my other cheap ones.
