Perfect to deter bees and wasps!

I have an outside workshop where the bees and wasps were coming out in droves looking for new nesting sites. I really didn't want to kill any bees but I also didn't want to share my space with them! I read that they will avoid certain scents and citronella was the easiest to locate. I am astonished at the result! They now completely avoid the areas where I have the Citronella tealights burning! It's not mosquito season here yet, so I don't know about them but for deterring the bees and wasps…

Pros
  • long lasting, but smell in pungent
Cons
  • As cute as a button on a white tablecloth, but the wax melts and extinguished the flame within 5 mins.

The candles work good for me

We took these to Mexico to use on the outdoor patio at night. We usually have issues with bugs on the patio after it is dark outside. We had to use 3 or 4 at a time but they worked great! The candles kept the bugs and the flies away.

Pros
  • mosquitoes killer
Cons
  • Citronella scent may be overpowering for some

Nice change from the torches and all that smoke!

Don’t know about the longevity as I have only had them a couple weeks. The scent of each candle I’ve burned so far is a full scent from beginning to end.

Pros
  • Seems to ward off the indoor mosquitoes.
Cons
  • Scent may not be pleasant to some individuals

Doesn’t keep away mosquitos

Didn’t do anything to keep away the mosquitos. I found the best thing that works is a small fan. The light weight mosquitos don’t fly well in the wind.

Pros
  • I like to sit on my patio in the evening and this allows me to do that without the bugs joining me.
Cons
  • Very disappointed.Under performed. Pretty useless.Sorry to report this opinion.

Long lasting and re-lightable

These candles are great! They really do burn 4+ hours, and they can be re-lit if extinguished early. They seem to do just as well at keeping mosquitos away vs regular larger citronella candles. Not enough on their own, still need bug spray, but they definitely help!

Pros
  • used for eliminating mosquites. Does what it says it will.
Cons
  • No scent

They’re okay.: my feedback

I live near a water source so in late spring and summer we get a fair amount of mosquitoes. I have to put these particular candles all around the 20x14 deck surrounding us and one on the table next to us to keep skeeter free. In short the smell isn’t very strong. They also go out with the slightest breeze and the wick burns to the wax so they don’t relight easily or at all. I will be trying a different brand once these are gone.

Pros
  • They have a long burn time, smell great not like chemicals that I've noticed in other brands.
Cons
  • Can be dangerous around small children

Less than perfect, but still worked

I ordered these candles for a camping trip. Here is the good and the bad. . .The Good:1) They worked - they got rid of the little bugs (I had about 4 or 5 candles set up)2) There was no smell3) Excellent priceThe Bad:1) The arrived bent and broken.2) They didn't last 4 hours. (This could be because we were in a windy place)Next time, I would look for a different brand, just because of the way they arrived. However, they did work.

Pros
  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
  • May not be strong enough for areas with heavy mosquito populations

Does not keep mosquitoes away.

I used the candles numerous times and mosquitoes were always present. I Had six candles lit right next to me last night and still bitten four time.Very disappointing, not to mention trying to avoid being bitten by mosquitos that Potentially carry numerous dangerous diseases, Lyme being one of them.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor when my toddler is playing on our balcony. Definitely will buy more!🙂
Cons
  • Can leave residue or discoloration on surfaces

Didn't Work As Expected

I really liked the concept, but it didn't keep the mosquitos away. The smell was more potent before I opened the package. I'm sorry it didn't work for me.

Pros
  • Candles & Holders
Cons
  • Citronella scent may be unpleasant for nearby neighbors

Too small to actually work

Using the candles to keep mosquitoes away in a restaurant patio, but they don’t work. Just get a couple of the big candles and call it a day. These are a pain to light and make a huge mess. They burn very quickly but don’t actually release any citronella smell. You end up with lots of wax all over the candle holder

Pros
  • Nice, need a few scattered around.
Cons
  • Wax can be difficult to remove from surfaces

Repels mosquitoes good for me

Mosquitoes pestered me in my garage when I would work there. Now I light one of these tea lights and they quickly disappear. The scent is light and pleasant and very effective.

Pros
  • Okay for campsite tables. Did t really keep mosquitos away. Scent could have been stronger.
Cons
  • Can be messy to light and maintain

They are what they are

Of course they could work, but I got them too late for this year's mosquitoes. I will review again once I get the chance to use them, but love the price. May have to find something to put around them to shield the wind cause it takes only a little breeze to put them out.

Pros
  • Home Décor Products
Cons
  • Can be difficult to dispose of properly

Makes outdoor evenings comfortable

I love sitting on my new patio in the early evening but mesquites love me more. I light two of these on my table and have no problems. No strong smell or smoke. I put them in cute votive holders . Will definitely order more.

Pros
  • Rid my house of mosquitos
Cons
  • Can attract other bugs besides mosquitoes

They work! on my review.

My mother uses these candles. For a long time she has been complaining about mosquitoes attacking her ears at night. We started using these and immediately the first night she felt a difference - no mosquitoes as long as the candle was lit. After it went out, the mosquitoes returned. She endorses this product 100%. Her amnesia kicks in (she is 91) but she has told me how effective the candles are, at least four times.

Pros
  • very light scent, faster burning than I would like...but they seem to work, so that's the main point.
Cons
  • Candles would not stay lit if there was a slight breeze during use

Doesn’t last as long as stated

I buy a lot of citronella candles to keep away misquotes. My favorite are the 8 hour double tea lights. However since the Covid pandemic they have become obsolete it seems. Or way over priced. These we not as good as many of the others.

Pros
  • These candles did the trick! We have had a single mosquito since we got them.
Cons
  • Can be a fire hazard if not used properly

Nice Candles in my review

I bought these because we've had a major mosquito problem the last few summers. This year was no exception. These candles were a good deal so I decided to try them. We light a few every night when we're sitting outside and they seem to help. They are cute little tea light size that could fit in a table top holder. They last a few hours, so long enough for us to use them once or twice. They also light easily and the sent is no overwhelming like some I have tried.

Pros
  • I have not had a chance to use them just yet. But I am excited to.
Cons
  • Limited lifespan of 4 hours may not be sufficient for longer events

Helped to Keep the Pesky Mosquitos at Bay

I put them out for an Independence Day BBQ and they worked out perfectly. They kept the pesky skeeters away along with the no-seeums.

Pros
  • These candles did a good job of keeping the bugs away
Cons
  • Burn time may not be accurate

Just right on my review.

Nice smell not too strong. I like the tea lights because I find that large candles get gross after awhile outside. The tea lights have a nice glow. I put several on the deck railing and it’s pretty and functional.

Pros
  • All went well with the use of this product and I thank the makers bc there was no mosquito near
Cons
  • As advertised...burn for almost 4 hours but not much scent..

Fixed my mosquito problem woohoo!

Great value, and really worked for us. Pro tip: I left the open bag of candles on a hidden shelf in our Problem area and that seems to keep the biting bastards away.

Pros
  • To cut down on the small flying annoying bugs attracted to my patio.
Cons
  • May not be sustainable for eco-conscious consumers

Good product best in my review

I like the product, no problems--it fits in my USO tea candle holder. The problem is the delivery was by USPS, and they folded and crushed some of the candles when they crammed it into my my 5"x4" mail box/slot. The item is approximately 8"x 8" (50 pack candles) and was mailed in a plastic mailer, not in a box.

Pros
  • great price for product
Cons
  • Didn’t last long
