Fast Shipping: my feedback

Can't wait to use this, I just paid $450 to have my chimney swept and they used a commercial version of this. Basically the same but the brush seemed stiffer. This sweeper looks like it will work fine and save me a TON of money. Cleaning my chimney while sitting on the stove hearth instead of hanging on the roof will be awesome.

  • It might be difficult to reach certain parts of the chimney due to the limited length of the rods

Be prepared for a BIG mess.

Be prepared for a mess, use the plastic provided to mitigate the black dust cloud you are going to create. I suggest a shop vac hose in the fireplace while cleaning. Check fitment of rods prior to starting cleaning process, I found 2 rod connections did not fit and lock into place. Minor modification on these 2 rods ie. clearance of the hole alignment to get them to lock. I used a corded drill, Batt powered did not last long enough. Works great! on my review.

It worked great, pieces went together easy and included everything you need. I will say a few people mentioned the piece that goes in the drill was round so the drill chuck would spin on it, mine came with the standard 1/4” hex so the chuck never slipped. The only "issue” I had was the bag, the seam on the closed end came apart. No big deal.

The flexable nylon rod detached, leaving half the rod stuck in the chimney.

The rod enters the chimney well enough. But when you pull the rod out of the chimney, it comes appart in the middle, leaving about 12 feet of rod stuck in the chimney.I was going to return the unit, but the UPS store is actually the Toman Library and does not accept returns.

Drill adapter button stuck in on first try

The button that locks the drill adapter to the rods became stuck in on the first try. Obviously am now unable to use the kit.

Sturdy, easy to use. Glad we used the plastic covering that came with it as there was a lot of soot that came down. Feel safer now that flue is clean

Top broke off inside the chimney

Just as the title says. The brush broke off inside the chimney. Now I get to spend the next day or two figuring out how to get it out, or call someone.

Lost in chimney on my review.

Quality looks good. With in 30 seconds the joint between two shafts disconnected and fell to the bottom of chimney. I will use it again, but I will duct tape the joints which is a hassle. I still need to retrieve the brush with the shaft extension from the chimney.

I have an older kit same product but they changed the interlocking ends so they will not connect to one another. Either way this product did exactly what was intended I only wish it fit with the old kit so it could be used for larger chimney cleaning

Worked great, easy to use!

We are getting too old to climb on our steep, 2-story roof and do the drop the chimney brush down by string method. After getting a quote from a chimney cleaner for $250, decided to look into options. Actually saw this used on a YouTube video, and thought, why not? We got it a day early (thanks Ebay) and took about 15 minutes to get everything set up with drill, plastic taped in place and shop vac on hand for the clean up. Took longer to move things to get to fire place and clean up than it did to clean chimney. Chimney had never been cleaned but decided it would be a good idea before next fire since neighbor's house just burned to ground b/c chimney fire :( .
