Keratex KMSP 450 Mud Shield Powder: 450g for Ultimate Protection and Care Review

I have always been satisfied with Keratex products. Still looking for a 'miracle cure' to prevent fungal/bacterial infections in our horses during the Florida rainy monsoon season.

Dirtiest Winter Ever Keratex Mud Shield prevents infections, scratches and other mud-related problems on horses' hooves. I apply generously every 48 hours but when I had to go 4 days there was still a lot of powder on my horse's legs. The mud flakes off immediately and my horse's legs are scratch and scab free.

I bought this to try and keep my horse's shins dry, we've had so much rain this year and he has 'rain rot' all the way up his shins. crown on the hoof. After I started using the fender it didn't have any new outbreaks of rot, in fact some old stains started peeling off! I'm not in the shed to wear it every day and it still works wonders. I am very satisfied with this product.

My horse is prone to scratch/mud fever and keeps his hocks really dry when riding or in the stable. I wear this and then a polo while driving when it's wet. I don't want scratches. I also found a "silver sock" and MTG. These three have been working on his scratches this year. Two years ago they were so bad he ended up in a hyperbaric chamber. Do not ever do that again! USE this product.
