Worked better than expected

These hooks made it easy to remove the factory deck from my 2002 SL500 (R129). In fact, it took me a lot of effort to free her when I was done. You must also remove the climate control panel in this vehicle.

Cannot be removed after radio failure

I put these keys in the radio on my 2016 Audi Q3 with navigation and was able to get the radio out. However, after unplugging the radio, I could not remove the buttons even after pressing the tabs on the side of the radio. I ended up disassembling the complete radio to get the keys out of the radio.

Pros
  • Easy to use

Cheap, work, not broken.

Bought because I wanted to tinker with the stereo in my Jetta mk4. They were cheap and proved more than adequate for the job. decent quality. At first I thought they didn't work, but after a quick google search it turned out I just hadn't pushed them hard enough. FYI, it takes a decent amount of force to pull the trigger on a stereo, but that's a property of the stereo, not the instruments. Did the job well.

4 years without radio. Best in Tools and Equipment

For years I have endured long journeys without a radio in my 1998 Mercedes Benz ML320, my children have locked the radio, put coins in the tape recorder and I have had several battery failures resulting in in my stereo no visible options at all. It turned out to be dead. After looking at the Mercedes forums and videos on You Tube I decided to solve this problem myself as I live in a rural area and there is only one crowded and expensive mechanic nearby. I used these tools to pull out the stereo

Two of my keys were badly bent on first use

This is the most brittle metal known to man. I put the keys in the head unit and at the lowest torque both keys bent. I've used other wrenches and they never bend. Thought I'd give it a try but it's a waste of money. After pulling out the stereo I wanted to figure out why they were bent and tried to put them back in since I could now see them snap into place. They seemed to stand normally, but the material is too weak. Very frustrating because if you are not careful they can get stuck in yourโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Should have been simpler but I had a button that wouldn't open and I had to fight it for half an hour, swearing at it, begging and practically bending the radio case to get it out (it has not working). He eventually released the tab, but not without a lot of harassment. The keys are most likely not to blame. Although the keys survived. I had to run a phone charger cable behind the radio and take a snapshot of the serial number so I could look up the security code if I ever had to disconnect the

  • Easy to read control panel
