Do not buy on pencil holder

Broke after a few weeks. I use it at work to have my marker handy without leaving it somewhere. I used it once and the string won't fit again.

Nurse Approved for Pencil Holders

Sturdy and serves the purpose of easy access and time saving for the busy nurse. I don't have to look in my surgical bag. Just pin it to the V-neck collar line. It doesn't fall out of my pocket when trying to pick something up off the floor.

The complete opposite of long term.

This pencil's recoil is very low and optimistic estimates should last around 3.25 hours. I've bought others of the same quality at Lowe's for less than $3. Unfortunately, Lowe's no longer sells them as they are disposable. Given that this can be a carpenter's most important tool, it's a shame no one has come up with a better mousetrap.

Saved my KEY-BAK MINI-BAK pencil from West Coast Manufacturing. from a garbage can.

KEY-BAK MINI-BAK Pencil Pull. the back came off. In my opinion, the error was due to poor design. There is a very thin clear plastic that holds the clip in place. This plastic is fragile and broke when I grabbed a carpenter's pencil and pulled it out. I find the string and recoil spring used on this retractor are well made and of good quality and should last a long time. The clip and thin plastic are the weak link. I saved the mini-bak retractable handle from the trash can with a wing washer…
