A very economical way!

I advise you to take the key to a locksmith before attempting to sync it to your car. I didn't and my original key no longer opens the car doors. Otherwise I recommend this route. It would have cost me several hundred euros at a car dealership.

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Perfect fit for my 1998 Landcruiser

The instructions that came with it didn't work. YouTube helped program the door locks and the instructions from the forum worked for the transponder. Now I have a fully fledged spare master key. I bought a new car but I lost the second master key. Now I don't have to worry about losing it.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • No power

WHAT IT WORKS BEST Anti-Theft

I BUY THIS KEY FOR MY 1999 TOYOTA LANDCRUISER SISTER AND IT WAS MUCH LESS THAN THE DEALER WANTED TO TAKE. WHEN WE RECEIVED THE KEYS, TAKE IT TO THE DEALER TO CUT AND PROGRAM, OTHERWISE THE DEALER WANTED TO TAKE OVER $200 FOR THE KEY. IT WAS MUCH LESS AS YOU CAN SEE

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Protection

Waste of money and time

After reading the reviews I decided to give this key a try as the factory key costs several hundred dollars. After several programming attempts I found that I could only lock and unlock the doors but the ignition would not start due to a factory safety feature. My next step would be to try to have it programmed by a dealer or a locksmith, but I'm not sure how much that would cost. All in all I would say don't waste your money. Finally, the instructions provided are the worst I have seen in the…

First "upgrade " to 2000 LC

The low mileage 2000 Land Cruiser I bought didn't have a working remote control and it was inconvenient to use the key to open the doors every time - I didn't. This has nothing to do with my college Buick days. I had a locksmith cut two keys and then followed online instructions to a) program the chip to make it work in the ignition and b) program the remote to make the buttons work. Both work great. The only concern is that after a few weeks of use, the case will start to feel a little…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Annoying

The build quality is not very good. Two shell halves.

Pros: They work and are significantly cheaper than OEM replacement parts. OEM) and often have to try multiple times to lock/unlock the machine. The build quality is not very good. The two halves of the key shell separate when the key is turned to start the car. The seller responds but has incorrect information on how to program these keys. For 2002 Land Cruiser, key programming requires separate procedures for door programming and ECU transponder programming. You can do both by following the…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are new competitors
