I bought this FOB for my new 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 that didn't come FOB from a used car dealer. It came with instructions on how to program the remote into the car which took less than 5 minutes. The dealer charged almost $100 for this FOB which is outrageous. Also comes with built-in rechargeable battery. Great deal and great product.

Could not distinguish this item from the original except the original has a crack hence this purchase. I was concerned because in the past I've often had to order a replacement from the retailer at an unbelievable price, but it was exactly as advertised and for <$20! It even came with a battery! Instead of using the new remote control as it came, I opened it and the one that was to be replaced. I took the circuit board off the old remote and replaced the new circuit board with a new one. Reprogramming was not necessary. The problem with the old remote control was worn contacts. Very quick and efficient replacement for a new work console. I've done this with several remote controls for our cars over the years.
