But it looks like what came with the car when it worked

had to go to a locksmith/key dealer and there was a 50/50 chance it would work. Luckily it worked, although the lock/unlock buttons worked at first but stopped. Locksmith said it was probably the battery. so it's still a work in progress. But it looks just like the one that came with the car and when it worked it worked just like the original.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Something else

Forget the dealership!

I saved a pack for this spare key. Works perfectly. You must take this uncut key to the dealer to get a code for your vehicle. (All you need is the VIN number.) Then take it to your local locksmith to have the key cut and programmed. The locksmith charged me $31. The key itself is only $18. Only $59. MUCH better than doing everything at the dealer! It would cost over $200 there.

Pros
  • cool stuff
Cons
  • some loose change

Cheaper than the dealer and works just as well

We bought this for our 2005 Chrysler Town and Country van (because we're super cool). The dealer told us it wouldn't work and we should just shell out $300 for it, but it worked great! Best of all we only spent a fraction of what they would charge (we paid $40 to cut the key). Delivery was fast - we recommend this product!

Pros
  • Even the old folks get it
Cons
  • Appearance

It's programmed perfectly and works great but it's so flimsy, a few times I've driven I have the outer case opened and the contents (buttons, electronics, battery) fell off. Today, less than 2 months after purchase, the plastic case broke. I contacted the KeylessOption seller and they just told me that since they made the order, they can't do anything about it and contact Amazon. I called Amazon and as always Amazon has great customer service. At first they told me that the return period hadโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Glitter
Cons
  • There are problems

Looks almost the same as the original, only the original is worn. The dealer charged me $50 for programming and trimming since I only had one key programmed and it takes two keys to program a new key yourself. If I had bought the key from the dealer they would have charged me $175 for the key and the same $50 for programming so I saved almost $150 by buying it here. These aftermarket keys are not programmable and after waiting 2 hours they said they had programming issues but it "took" it inโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price
