Think Before You Buy

Not the person who wrote the review. I bought this product to replace my broken one. Looks just like the original, only problem is you have to take it to the dealer to have it programmed. This was for a 2012 Chevy Express 3500.

Pros
  • Highest Score for Support and Durability from Testers
Cons
  • Market Availability

Good price for remote starter

Bought this for a 2016 Chevy Express, this model needs to be taken to a dealer or locksmith. Good price for the product but it seems cheap but at this price I can say it's good. They will charge you $30-$100 to program this item for your car.

Work great! good for interior accessories

We have a 2017 Chevy Express 3500 so we had to take it to the dealer to have it programmed but it looks just like the original and works great. The only thing is that the buttons stick out a bit higher than what I'm used to, so I'm more inclined to raise the alarm because other buttons are pressed on them. A bit annoying when my hands are full.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Clarity

It's great for the price.

Has all the features of my original and works as it should. Programming using the included instructions was easy enough. One downside is that the ink/painted symbols on the remote buttons have already started to wear out. It took years for my factory originals to get to this point. For the price I accept that. Still think it's a good deal.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some flaws

You can save a lot of money

Worked great. Programming wasn't difficult. However, there are a few caveats: If your car was manufactured after 2010, you will need to take it to the dealer or workshop for programming. I had a 2010 so I just did the cut. The dealer wanted to charge me $160 for a new key and fob. I ended up spending $38 including $24 on a new key and the key shop to cut it out and $14 on the key fob. I would say this is a good saving. Please note that when programming a fob, you must program all of your fobs…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember
