Package was fine upon arrival. When I opened the box and examined the splinters, I found that they were both scratched and stained. The casings are completely white, so if there are smudges and fingerprints on the cables and casing, it's really visible. It's safe to assume they weren't actually new as advertised. This was exactly what I was looking for - an extension cord with a flat plug, sockets and USB ports. Unfortunately, there is a hum/hum on our first use. Now I choose the surge protector/power strip I bought previously and it comes in fun colors. Shards should not hum, buzz, squeak, or make any noise.
