This worked great for us! It is ideal for flat railings. We ended up buying a second one for our staircase as they are also open plan but we had to trim it to fit. Not a big deal, but it will definitely take time. God saves the man who saves himself!

Savings! It was very quick and easy to install and looks every bit as good as you would expect from a chain link fence. My 1 year old now completely ignores the railing whereas before ALL the toys went overboard.

We have a child who is starting to walk and I didn't want to invest in replacing the stair railing - the spacing between the slates is too great. It seemed like a great alternative. It's relatively easy to install - I still needed a helper. I feel much calmer when the child is more mobile.

A dream comes true here. My 18 month old son loves to throw things between the railings down stairs and this has taken its toll on my wooden floors at the bottom of the stairs. We needed to protect our outside staircase from the kids! We attached the long end of these railings to the banister posts on either side of the stair with the zip ties provided, and then used the 36 inch zip ties we got from Revain to attach the other long ends to the guide beam. the middle of the stairs. Easy to install, effective and very good looking! Our railing is wider than the new safety standard and I needed a lightweight, detachable solution to keep our 10 month old safe. I ordered 2 packs and was able to cut the second to the length needed. Instructions are clear, lots of zip ties included. I can push it away and it stays in place. To be honest I didn't have high hopes for this product. But serves its purpose and serves its purpose. The material is thick enough that my toddler won't damage it and strong enough that he can't take it off. It looks very simple so doesn't add much to the space and creates a lot of empty space since it's white. For this reason I gave four stars.
