Functional, baby loves it but awful smell

This was a Christmas present for our child and although she likes it functional. The smell of the product literally gives me a headache. We washed the fabric cushion and aired the chair from the outside after wiping it down several times with a natural cleaner. I am very disappointed that a children's toy manufacturer chose to use such a toxic chemical. If I had known that before buying, I would have chosen a different product.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Small problems

Hit among kids!

We love KidKraft because it's made in the USA with quality materials and wood! Her toys are very durable (we used to have a dollhouse). This high chair is perfect for my 1 and 2.5 year old kids to play with their kids. I'll say they both tried to fit into him and he's definitely not strong enough for that! However, it can be knocked over easily but is not heavy enough to cause injury. It's a big hit and is often played in our family.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Chill kids only best in Furniture

Easy to install but broke on first fall. It fell forward when my daughter pulled the doll out and the screw broke the belly board up onto the back. I understand children's toys break, but not on the first accidental fall. UPDATE We tried it a second time and it broke worse than before. If you have children who are energetic or full of energy this will not last. Now I can see the parts are made of what appears to be thick layers of cardboard and let me tell you it's not strong enough for my two…

Broke after 3 months - dolls and accessories

This chair is so cute and my daughter loves it! Unfortunately we cannot leave this screw in. I think we need to replace the hardware with something else to hold these pieces together. My kids always find a screw on the floor and bring it to me. A week after I wrote this, the bracket holding the countertop in place split in two. It's made of cardboard. We removed the table top as the chair is still usable and we were able to replace the brackets with metal brackets. Anyway, my daughter got it…

Requires modifications out of the box.

We bought 2 for our twin granddaughters. One had to have the side rails re-glued (parts 4 and 6). I had to add an end screw because the dowel broke in two. Luckily I had finishing screws, wood glue and the necessary clamps. I also had to drill a new pilot hole because the existing hole was on the wrong side of one of the feeder pan arms. I also had to loosen the screws on one tray to spread the arms wide enough to fit in the brackets. The two nylon washers to cushion the pivot points where the…
