An excellent option for both tall and slender girls, but not very short. Both of my girls are slim and fit perfectly at the waist and hit just above the knee. And the waist is very elastic, so they are comfortable. For reference my 8 year old is 53 and 51lbs and I bought her a small and she was a little big in the waist but the length was good. My 6 year old is 49 and 45 pounds and the XS fits her perfectly!

I bought these skirts for my eight year old daughter because most of the skirts that fit her about halfway down are too short. It comes down to her knees and the belt is elastic enough to fit her for a while. The material looks high quality and will not flake or peel. Doesn't shine through and washes well. The only downside is that things look silly but are workable.
