😺 Charming Kikkerland Grey Cat Kitchen Timer - Purrfect Cooking Companion! Review

I bought this to have an extra timer in the kitchen, mainly for measuring tea time. That works great. Just make sure you turn it to 60 and then BACK to set the time you want. A very nice addition to my kitchen.

It's absolutely charming but useless to me. I am hearing impaired and used it for the first time, I didn't hear it but my husband did. The second time I put it to my ear and heard it tick, then I stopped and it stopped ringing. I'm looking for a new one right now.

The timer must have been in its original packaging but I received a package in the mail with a broken box, a timer from it and I was afraid that I had to order more. But I tested it, repaired the box as best I could and packed it for my granddaughter.

I bought 2 of these. The first one stopped working after a year, but it was so cute I wanted a replacement. The second is worse. Not only does the bell not ring at the end of time (despite being fully wound and then turned back to the required time setting), but now the numbers are erased so you can't tell what you're setting them for. Very sad.

Junk. Bought as a stocking filler for my wife as she loves cats. It broke after just a few uses. As you can see from the photo, the plastic that connects the top of the timer to the mechanism is paper thin and too weak. Presumably the manufacturer saved less than a penny in material by making it so thin and thus unusable. DO NOT BUY.

I don't know if the timer arrived defective, but in my opinion scrap. It took a little over a month for the interior work to simply collapse. Also, the top comes off so easily that it's impossible to change it back to 55 seconds without holding two pieces, and all you have to do is figure out HOW to reset it to get the time right . I bought it because it was cute and most of the reviews were positive. Well never again is all I can say.
