Timeless Style: Kikkerland Vintage Streamline Kitchen Timer in Ravishing Red Review

Please forgive my English, I'm still learning it. The order came and the timer worked very badly. It took me six times to run it to hear a very faint noise. I am very sorry for the money spent. That annoys me.

Over time the numbers of all the other factory timers I've bought in the past have worn out and become unusable. The timer dial is protected by glass, eliminating the risk of erasing numbers over time. This timer is solid, the base is surprisingly heavy and accurate for its size.

I have yet to find a timer that rings long enough and loud enough to be heard from another room. This kitchen timer from Kikkerland is probably the cutest you've ever seen. I like its design. However, you really have to be in the kitchen to hear him calling. I watched the video demo and found the call was louder and longer than I imagined. Unfortunately, this timer does not match. I think for the price I expected more than this little guy can offer.

I fell in love with this timer as soon as I opened the box. It's so well made, heavy, bright and cute. However, the dial was too small to be able to read it even with glasses. I was heartbroken to send it back. Also, the return period was months, not Revain's 30-day return policy. Ouch! I have since seen other timers from this company which are also great and have a much larger face. Maybe I'll treat myself to one soon - maybe for Christmas!

Okay so I almost didn't buy it because of the negative reviews. I think these people forget to turn it to 55 before setting it to the right time. Mine works great. It's smaller than I expected, but it's a nice addition to my kitchen shelf. I especially like that it rings and stops after a few seconds. You know, if you time something but don't necessarily want to get up right away (the stove will chime forever or until you stop it), it will stop on its own.

Bought a second one, one for business, one for home. Well made and solid. Cool retro car gauge looks. The first lasts for several years, works every time. Make sure you wind up all the way and then go back to your settings and you'll have a full ring. Very pretty. I have red (harsh and sporty), my wife has turquoise/seafoam green (very retro, pastel). I paid extra for this timer to keep it running but it only lasted a little over 2 months. It no longer calls when the timer reaches zero. Revain contacted the seller last week (return period expired) and the customer service rep seemed to indicate that I had misused it. This isn't rocket science. Looks very nice. The metal body is strong. It suffers from two problems: 1) the ring you turn to set the time sits on a weak shaft and bends easily, causing friction on the case and stopping the timer, and 2) assembly issues.
