Check your battery before you go back to school

DST drains your battery. I knew the one in my wife's van was getting old. Checked and replaced before school. It was easy to use and when we went to change it the battery was 5 years old and the store said we were lucky to have it now.

Good tester for diagnostic, checking and measuring tools

Does exactly what it says on the tin. I was having battery problems on my truck (2008 Chevy 3500). When testing I could see a low charge and low SOH (health). Tried a different/newer battery and saw much better results. I swapped out the batteries for new ones and back on the road. Nice addition to this garage!

The diagnosis helped determine that we had a bad alternator, not the battery!

We tested the battery on a Case backhoe with the Kingbolen BM550 and found that we had a bad alternator which saved us countless dollars in unnecessary battery changes! Was easy to use and very convenient to use! We will be using this for many things here on our farm!

I love this battery tester!

I really like this little battery tester. Today I had a bunch of batteries on my desk at work. I had to figure out which batteries were bad because I knew there were good ones out there, but I couldn't remember which ones were good. And here is the battery tester. I disconnect the batteries on the fly and find the bad among the good. Worked well for my needs.

Diagnostic Accuracy

I experienced an intermittent start delay and checked the battery voltage which was normal (12.96v). I had to test CCAs (Cold Crank Amplifiers) and to my surprise, Revaine had a CCA tester. My battery turned out to hold a charge but the test in CCA is BAD. My 550 CCA battery only put out 295 CCA (I replaced the battery immediately - problem solved). Thanks to Revaine, this product has helped me avoid future failures.

Disclaimer: I don't have an independent method to "check" the batteries I use, but recently a friend of mine needed to change the battery in his car and I was able to check the rating of the new battery compared to what the device gave and they agreed. I use this to test whether or not I should use scattered car batteries as a backup power source and to check if the battery in my car is fine.
