Fake NVME - Internal SSDs

I'm not mad now the product is fine and it works but I have a red build on my pc it's all red and the M.2, the one i got was black and had no heatsink, no big deal, black ones are ok but be aware you may not get what you order, m.2 is ok but note i didn't get what I ordered

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • No insurance

I confess I had no idea who this manufacturer was but my son told me NVMe SSD is the way to add storage space to my mini PC. I figured that small spinning laptop drives or SSDs that look the same would be needed, but his recommendation was that this type of memory would draw less power so the fan wouldn't spin up as much. It was easy to install, and then I put my mini PC back on the monitor's Vesa mounts to hide it in front of the table. The memory was recognized immediately by Windows 10 and…

Great slim little drive for the price!

It's certainly not the fastest, Crystal Disk Mark gives me 952MB/s read and 529MB/s write but hey! Coming from a hard drive, that's great, especially if you have a laptop with an empty m.2 slot or a computer with a hard drive or old SSD as the primary drive!

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Empty

Being stuck at home during the coronavirus I decided to build a new home server to to replace it with an aging HP DL360 G7 that I found in a ditch as a technical engineer. I decided I wanted to run a Windows Server 2019 instance with Hyper-V for 3 virtual servers - a backup server, a network share server and a plex server. fast and cheap, M.2 SATA. I wanted this precisely because my motherboard was a mini-iTX and had a very limited number of SATA ports. I found this one and it had great reviews

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Easily recognizable in my Asus 970 PRO/AURA Mainboard

Overall: Impressive SpeedFirst Impressed only since I got the unit a few weeks later. Pros: Used as a boot drive. It uses a SM2263/SM2263XT controller with 2400MB/s read and 1700MB/s write. It uses standard NVMe 1.3 with PCIe 3.0 x 4 down transfer mode, compatible with PCIe 2.0 x 4. Easily spotted on my Asus 970 PRO/AURA motherboard. The current test (Seq Q32TI) shows a read speed of 1474 MB/s and a write speed of 1190 MB/s with a new Windows 10 64-bit operating system installed. With all…
