Best thing I've ever had

I've used a few inexpensive memory cards with little satisfaction. They were slow and didn't last long. This Kingston is fast and seems much more reliable. I am very happy with it and can only recommend it.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • everything is great

Reliable drives: Flash drives

Our IC people like to store different disk images on flash drives for transport. They have the storage and reliability they need.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

Comes clean, no malware removal

The flash drive is instantly recognized by Win 10 Pro. I'm using it as a USB 3.0 drive, but it's backward compatible with USB 2.0. I only use it to store, read, and restore simple, undemanding files, so I can't comment on how well it handles large files, videos, or music. Based on my previous and current experiences with Kington USB sticks, I expect excellent performance according to the IAW specification. It comes with a 6 inch strap and has a built in sliding lid which I prefer so I don't…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Works half the time.

I used it to listen to music in my 2014 Honda Civic. I put about 32GB of MP3 files on it and it works 50% of the time. I formatted it with FAT32 before moving files to it. If it's not recognized after turning the car on, I unplug and plug it back in and that fixes the problem, but I don't want to do it every time. So I returned it. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Data transfer takes a long time. It stops for a few MB and then starts up again in less than a minute. Take 10 longer than necessary. I won't keep anything on it that I need. I think it will break any moment. I have a 12 year old flash drive that is 10x faster. But it hardly works.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Lots of backups on USB sticks

This stick is very easy to use and very fast. Just plug it in and download tons of files at record speed. My Favorite Flash Drives I have about a dozen of them. I use it to store or move files.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Repair

I have used many different brands of flash drives.

…but Kingston is always my choice for ease of use, reliability and design. I strongly encourage you to try Kingston in any size if you haven't already. I think you will be very satisfied.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Infuriates
