Eh Quite slow write speed for USB 3.0

The write speed on this drive is quite slow. I tested media files and ran speed tests, both showed the same results. There are photos of the two drive speed tests I ran on this drive, the numbers are pretty bad. But you get what you pay for, which in my case turns out to be a real POS flash drive costing like @#*$. Have a nice day!

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Minor issues

Ready to use straight away, no problem

Bought this set of 3 at a great price. Use them to store music folders for in-car use as CD players are phasing out. Kingston is a good reliable brand. Still with their 15 year old discs. They are compatible with my Mac desktop computer and iTunes mp3 and m4a music files. They're also pre-formatted, just plug them in, upload folders and you're good to go. They are compatible with GM audio systems, my current Chevy model.

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Not the best

Just as good and bad as any other brand

I bought these because they were the cheapest brand supplied and sold by Revain. I was hesitant due to all the negative reviews, but the reviews seem to be that all USB flash drives seem to be consistently bad, with the same issues mentioned. My experience with these drives has been high read speeds and frustratingly slow write speeds. I mainly use them for OS installation, so I don't care. Let's see how long they last.

Pros
  • Good workmanship

  • So far so good

SLOW as molasses

I bought these things to download MP3 music files and they were so slow I thought it was a problem with my computer. After spending most of the day troubleshooting my computer, updating the BIOS, and doing all sorts of other "fixes", I decided to go with a notoriously good (and fast) USB 3.0+ flash drive to test. My car ran fine, the other reliable drive was lightning fast compared to this thing, and I spent the whole time looking for an elephant with a magnifying glass. In short, the speeds on

Hypersonic transfer speed, icy write speed

I bought these flash drives because 1) I generally trust Kingston more than nameless brands and 2) they were cheap ($18 for 3). However, upon first use, I immediately noticed that writing to these drives on Windows 10 via USB 3.0 ports is very slow. For example, copying a 4GB ISO file to this drive on a modern PC took about 8 minutes to a nearly empty drive. While poor write performance doesn't make them useless, if you're like me and have little patience with technology that slows things down,

Fast Fail - Kingston 32 GB USB 3.0 Black DataTraveler 100 G3 3 pcs in a DT100G3-32GB 3P package - Almost every one of these (Kingston 32GB USB 3.0 DataTraveler) drives I've bought have failed within a short period of time. Kingston USB drives boot but Windows never assigns them a drive letter and it doesn't show up in Windows 10 Explorer window It's an invisible flash drive, useless. When these drives are running at all, data copy rates are highly variable and unreliable, often ranging from…
