Kirby Vacuum Fill Tube with Mini Emptor G5 - Genuine Replacement Part Review

I needed this new part for my Kirby G5 vacuum cleaner. That was the right part. My Kirby is working great again, but I had to purchase a clip separate from this part to fix it.

Easy to replace with the original part in minutes. No modification required, no installation hassles. Be careful not to break the strap holding the bag. You can remove it by prying the friction locks open with a small screwdriver.

new part fits perfectly. It consists of two plastic end pieces connected by a piece of flexible tubing. But since the hose is the only part that can fail, why doesn't Kirby just sell the hose? The hose is easier to replace than removing the dust bag, which is required to replace the entire assembly.

This part pretty much replaced the old vacuum tube and mini amp on my G5. The mini-emptor fits a little tight and is a little difficult to twist in and out of the vacuum; at first i thought it didn't fit at all because it barely turns inward to the vacuum and then it just seems like it's sticking. I had to put in a lot of effort to screw it all the way in. The materials used are not the same as the old tubes and mini amps, they are lighter and thinner, but so far everything is fine and doing…

The quality of the part is good and it seems to work just as well as the original but it would help if they included a bag strap/zip. You will have to cut the old one off to replace this part so it would be helpful to have it with you. Otherwise you will have to order this part separately or search for a suitable replacement. I found something similar at an auto parts store that also works for a much lower price than an official Kirby part. Overall I ordered this but I feel the price is a bit…
