Looks a little weird, but it does.

It looks a bit weird, but it's important. He cleaned the water of chlorine taste and smell. All packaging is compostable.

The natural way to make water taste better

This is our second Kishu order and we couldn't be happier with the results. Kishu brings a fresh, clean taste to our everyday water. After 4 months of use we throw the stick away and put it in the fridge where it continues to hold any smells. Highly recommended.

I have a great taste in water!

I was a bit tired of this product at first but it works! The water tastes like filtered water. I used to use a razor but I'm trying my best to reduce plastic as much as possible. Tastes even better than before. The only downside of this product is waiting for the water to filter as it takes several hours depending on how much water you are trying to filter! I will buy again!

Rice preservative

I was born and raised in Japan. My mom and grandma always kept a stick of charcoal in their rice bowl. Of course I didn't care at the time, but when I noticed that at my age (my kids were brown rice fans, so were they 5?) uncooked brown rice in a mason jar had a sticky, smelly texture. It boils well after a good wash but I didn't like the feel and I remember from my childhood seeing charcoal in the rice container. I tossed in these charcoal and dried hot peppers (whole, 5 pack) after about a…

Everyone should have a little.

I have dog water bowls outside and they are turning green. So I bathed all the time. So I put two bowls side by side. 1 with and without coal. The one with is always clean. I don't have to rub anymore. I also keep one in my stainless steel mug while I purify the water. Now that I think about it, aren't most water filters made out of charcoal? Yes. make a difference

Really good and unique product

My review was written about a week after I started using this product. I put it in a Klean Kanteen stainless steel bottle. I don't think it's recommended to use this in plastic containers. I use this with filtered car water at Publix and the taste is the same. Importantly, the water hasn't changed negatively, which is good, so I'm assuming the stick works as advertised. Conclusion I am satisfied with the product.

Alkaline pH of water increased to 7.0

My tap water now tastes great and has a constant alkaline level of 7.0. It is very convenient to use pieces of charcoal. I cook them once a month and let them dry according to the handy instructions and they come with a 4 month reminder. I bought 6 lead free glass bottles with stainless steel caps from Revain. I keep two bottles for each stuck charcoal. I fill this water into empty bottles as soon as it has stood for about 2-3 hours. I don't drink from a bottle and always have excellent water…
