Finally! Fits my K5SS

Finally! A hammer that really suits my K5SS. I seriously ordered two separate whisks that were supposed to fit my model, but they were too short for the bowl. It fits perfectly! Thank you!

Pros
  • One year trial

  • Not the best

Coating Deteriorates: Kitchen Utensils and Appliances

Attention! I have the same problems as in the previous reviews. I bought the product about 4 months ago and have used it maybe 6 to 8 times and the white coating is starting to peel off! I've always hand washed the whisk, so I know it's not a dishwasher problem.

Give a test. - Kitchen and dining room

Works the same as OEM so far. Some have complained that the white coating has chipped. Make sure you do the "penny test". This will check the clearance of the blade at the bottom of the bowl. Put a dime in the bowl, turn on mixer speed 1 (low). The blender blade should scrape the coin easily. If the gap is too small, the blade will hit the bowl and the blade will break off.

  • Large selection
Cons
  • Can I add something

Buyer warning! for kitchen utensils and gadgets

Attention buyers. Although it says Kitchen Aid, the product is not shipped in the manufacturer's packaging. Not suitable for 5QT Heavy Duty Blenders as advertised. Approved return, but sender did not receive it. $10 down the drain, but I won't spend $5 to pursue a $10 refund. My fault but a very misleading product. Would get less than one star if possible.

Perfect for cookware

Yes it was the perfect addition/replacement for a damaged 40 year old mixer part. It's amazing how hard it was to find this particular item. They all look the same, but there are slight differences between the newer beaters and the original piece. It was a perfect match and was provided at a good price. Other companies wanted almost twice the price for this part.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Hard to say

Why, oh why doesn't KitchenAid make a stainless steel version? We buy this plastic coated paddle every few years but have to keep replacing it when the coating rips off. The polished aluminum version is dishwasher safe. We love our KitchenAid mixer but are frustrated that we can't find a sturdy paddle. I would pay good money for a paddle that lasts.

  • Special
Cons

Coating wears out and cracks almost instantly

Most people have some problems. What was a nice white coating on the mallet rubs off almost immediately revealing the metal underneath. Worse, even the top has chips, which I noticed in my testing. Not cool. I only wash by hand so it can't be a dishwasher. Whichever method of white coating is used, it either needs to be eliminated or improved upon as it is not flexible enough to be used in a Kitchen Aid mixer.

Pros
  • Many fit
Cons
  • Useless features

Glued Coated Whisk

I thought I needed a flat blued metal whisk for my Kitchenaid but after washing the dishwasher once I changed my mind and went back to the coated whisk. Little did I know you couldn't clean a metal mallet in the dishwasher and it oxidized so badly that I couldn't use it. I had my last coated whisk for over 15 years before I had to replace it, so given the cheap replacement cost I have decided to stick with the coated whisk from now on. If a stainless steel whisk was available I would definitely

Goes perfectly with the kitchen blender with lifting bowl

I inherited a blender from my mother. She died in 2015 but I never forced myself to use a blender. She baked the best Dominican cake and the blender has proven itself. Except for this appendix. The original that came with the faucet started to lose its plating, some were chipping off. I decided to repeat my mother's cake. So, it's time to dust off the blender and get down to business. I have to say it was pretty close. But now I had to order a new tip because I couldn't imagine using the…
