Did not help with thermometers and timers

First use, the arrow did not move. Ordered to check the temperature of the meat. Useless Chinese junk. I bought it because of the KitchenAide name. Shame on you, KirchenAide, you're selling this junk. Unfortunately, I did not use it until the return period had expired.

Broken glass everywhere!

The thermometer broke in the oven. The jar covered the entire chicken and the oven. Not only disappointed in the product but also disappointed in my oven mess and wasted money (chicken, spices, thermometer) not to mention it's 6p and now no more dinner to eat.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Easy to read and accurate

I bought this specifically to make peanuts brittle. I have no experience with a candy thermometer and needed one that would take the guesswork out of the project. This thermometer is very easy to read and has a special soft to hard temperature marking which is very helpful for my 59 year old eyes. I highly recommend it. My peanut slices turned out fantastic!

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Concerns me

I don't leave it in the flesh.

Why did I buy this? I'm not married and I like small batches of well-done roast beef cooked in a small convection oven that can be cut into sandwiches. It is suitable for pre-frying seafood such as crab cakes and lobster. Well built if the owner sticks to it and just wipes it clean. I drilled a hole in the fryer. It shows the steam temperature when cooking mussels, mussels or snow crab legs. Most air fryers can cook seafood and frozen foods with water. It's worth the money. Food safety first. *

Slow display of the actual temperature

After approx. 20 minutes in the oven, the display is accurate. At first I thought it was defective as it read around 25 degrees Fahrenheit, which was verified by two precise digital measuring probes placed in the oven next to the dial. The digital probe responds quickly. The Kitchen Aid thermometer is slow to respond. Works fine as long as I don't expect it to show the actual oven temperature as the oven heats up. Digital gauges indicate that the oven's heating elements begin heating when the…

No winner in my candy production.

I needed a replacement candy thermometer and in my research and final decision I chose the KitchenAid brand as I have always been happy/satisfied with other KitchenAid products. I make a few batches of candy every week in my small country kitchen, and this thermometer just didn't make it into my book. Easy to read, but after some disappointing results with my caramels I found that the calibration was off 8 degrees. Such a large discrepancy is not at all suitable for making candy. Another…
