Love the idea of this pole - it's very easy to install, seems pretty solid and doesn't cost a lot of money! However, I was very disappointed in the quality of the product when it arrived. There was peeling paint and generally a dent in the bar. It looked like someone else damaged it and then sent it back. Unfortunately they are sold out so I didn't send them back because otherwise I would have had no other choice.

Most hangers are structurally sound as they are a strong rod sandwiched between two walls. The horizontal force keeps it securely in place. This wand consists of two wands, one larger than the other, loosely connected - looser than I expected. This makes them sit in brackets on both sides instead of pinching. I didn't expect it to be strong at significant width. I've only used mine at 24" and at a fairly light weight and I wish I'd gone with a solid rod that I'd trimmed down to 24".

The quality of the stem and end plates is very good. Push-fit assembly makes it very easy to install adjustable poles. Cons of this product: The flange on the inner stem is not as big as the flange on the outer stem. It must be flared to the same diameter as the larger rod; this prevents it from slipping out of the final assembly plate used, since both plates have the same bores. This item was essentially as described. All parts present, solid. The dimensions are correct and installation was easy. However, the brackets that hold the post are the same on both sides, and the diameter of the post is different. This will allow the lip on the smaller side of the post to come out of the bracket very easily. When the stick is under load (when there are objects on the bar) it doesn't give me much trouble, but it comes off very easily when there is no weight on the bar. This is…
