I usually like these needles but this time I am very disappointed. The stitches will not slip along the transition where the needle meets the line. However, the tip is sharp and the cable does not kink.

The needle is very beautiful, clean and elegant right out of the box. Looking at it, most of it seems well constructed. I've used both aluminum and bamboo needles, and while I prefer the "smoothness" of aluminum needles, I absolutely hate the yarn tension of bamboo needles, even though they hold yarn better. . It's the best of both worlds. The nickel tip ensures a smooth transition of the thread from one needle to another, while the carbon body holds the thread and prevents it from falling out.
