Battery cover breaks easily

I bought this camera for my daughter and it takes great pictures. It's easy to use, yet advanced enough for most everyday uses. But - and I think that's a big "but" - the battery cover is only closed by a tiny plastic strip. If you drop this thing even once, or even bang it lightly on the table, there's a good chance that piece of plastic will break and the battery door won't stay closed. It seems absurd that the correct function of the camera depends on such a thin, easily broken component. I…

Best Camera: Point-and-Shoot Digital Cameras

For the price, this camera is excellent. It takes beautiful pictures and the flash lets you take great pictures in any light. It focuses well and the bright blue color had everyone wondering where I bought it. I tell everyone AMAZON. The prices can't be beat and it got to me in no time. This camera cannot be dropped and can be used with a rechargeable battery pack. You also need a memory card, but they are very cheap. I've had it for almost a year now and I use it all the time and it still…

Great value point and shoot

Bought this for my mom for Mother's Day this year. I wanted her to use something simple. If it's too difficult, she won't worry. We visit her in the summer holidays. What a great little camera. Takes wonderful pictures. She has a little zoom, but she mostly takes face and group photos, so that's not a problem. There are a few things that make this little camera great 1) Excellent image quality considering the price 2) Uses AA batteries. I've used Cannon batteries and I hate proprietary…

Ease of use is the best of any point and shoot digital camera

Bought my third digital camera this year. I chose this particular model for its capabilities, availability, and ease of use. It actually exceeded my expectations. I took a few non-flash orchid shots in low light in close-up mode and they turned out to be much better quality than I expected. Of course, it takes some time to get used to the buttons on a new device, but I mastered this procedure very quickly. A piece of advice: I went to kodak.com, downloaded the software before receiving the…

Big! A camera that worked for 2.5 months!

I took this camera on a trip to Canada and it performed very well throughout the trip. After the trip, I try to look through the photos like we always do when we travel - all day, almost after each photo, it says "REFORM MEMORY CARD, THIS WILL DELETE ALL PHOTOS". Hm. I decided NOT to reformat my memory card and lost all my photos. Thank God! But now, no matter what memory card I insert into the camera, the camera cannot read the memory card. It still takes pictures on the internal memory, but…
