But - and I think that's a big "but" - the battery cover is only closed by a tiny plastic strip. For the price, this camera is excellent. It takes beautiful pictures and the flash lets you take great pictures in any light. It focuses well and the bright blue color had everyone wondering where I bought it. I tell everyone AMAZON. The prices can't be beat and it got to me in no time. I took this camera on a trip to Canada and it performed very well throughout the trip. After the trip, I try to look through the photos like we always do when we travel - all day, almost after each photo, it says "REFORM MEMORY CARD, THIS WILL DELETE ALL PHOTOS". Hm.
