I am a professional carpenter/carpenter and have been looking for the perfect tape measure for a while. I've bought all the bands from all the big brands - Lufkin, Stanley, Dewalt etc etc. I had one of the cheap Komelon bands from Lowe's a while back and really liked the auto lock feature. The Craftsman and Stanley autolock straps broke over time and the strap began slipping back into the handle. I've also had durability issues with a number of tapes. I'm a general contractor/carpenter and used a lot of tape. This is by far the best tape I've ever used. Pros: Awesome auto-lock feature that protects my index finger from overstretching by "locking" the band every time I pull it out. Numbers are BIG and marked on each inch (in red) ie "4ft 3” etc. 51 (black). Reads very easily and quickly.
