Great Raw Fleece Cleaner

This is a magic oil remover. I recently washed a very greasy Iceland fleece and it is silky and wonderful. Everything is ready for a little carding and spinning. However, this is strong stuff. I tried using a little as an all-purpose kitchen cleaner and it dissolved my rubber gloves and sponge. Ouch! Serves its purpose excellently.

Pros
  • Roll the fiber in a towel and press down
Cons
  • Annoying

Very effective peeling! (Get a clothespin!)

STINKS TO THE HIGH SKY (smells like a cheap plastic toy) but works great keeping wool soft, supple and clean and excellent for removing yellowing. I actually prefer it to the Unicorn Scour which is also very good but not as good in my experience. You may need to add a drop of lemon oil or vanilla to quell the smell, so to speak!

Pros
  • Fiber can be left in the Scour Soak for as long as you like
Cons
  • Not effective

Great product!: Household needs

I love this product! I have used Kookaburra detergent for yarn and knitwear for many years. I was always happy with that. I've just started preparing wool raw materials for spinning and comparing washes. This works well to cut the lanion. After cleaning, I use Kookaburra rinse aid. This gives it a tea tree oil scent and helps deter moths.

Pros
  • Place fibers in laundry bag and spin in top load washing machine only
Cons
  • I will write back

It may work well, but it doesn't smell

It may work well, but it doesn't smell. I bought this because I have a very smelly fleece and I wanted that lovely Kookaburra scent I got from a friend's washed fleece. I love having a variety of products, but as a consumer it's a little crazy trying to find what you need. It should be labeled odorless. Disappointed that I can't find the flavored version of Scour anymore as I don't like the smell of Unicorn. I'm only giving it three stars because of the lack of information. I'm sure it's great…

Pros
  • You can squeeze water out of the fiber with your hand
Cons
  • Doubt
