Superb garlic press

I bought 3 of these. Keep one for yourself and two as gifts. After years of use I come back to give a review. This is one of the few products that has stood the test of time. After 5 years of using this product it still looks the same as the first day I got it and is used at least once a week if not more. One of the few products I reviewed is very reliable. I usually do not check products for a few days after receipt unless the product is defective. I don't give 5 stars after a month of use…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Superb garlic press - probably one of the best

I found this garlic press after watching America's test kitchen series on the best garlic press. I decided to try this. I've had cheap injection molds all my life, which would be a cleaning job in and of themselves, and I didn't feel like washing up and taking out my cutting board just to chop garlic. This part of the set is a real kitchen tool. It's heavy, durable, and built for quick cleaning and use in a good way. The extruder section slides out for easy cleaning and leaves no pieces of…

Complete Garbage Best in Kitchenware & Gadgets

I don't understand what people like about this press. I even liked Cook's Illustrated. It's hard for me to find anything positive. But here are the cons: The ergonomics are terrible. It's hard, slippery and very uncomfortable to hold. It's beautiful to look at, but just awful to use. The funnel is small, so it takes quite a few downloads and taps to get through the Garlic Pile. The design is such that garlic squeezes out all sorts of nooks and crannies. So, in addition to the supposed crushed…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • There are nuances

I've had mine for a few years after seeing Test Kitchen's recommendation on YouTube and decided to spend a lot $$$$ shell out ($38) for the best garlic press. This works really well most of the time, but one of the pins holding it together falls out when you clean it. Luckily I was always able to get the missing pin out of the trash chute in time"sink -a -rator", put my hand in the connector. Then I plug it back in and it continues to work for some time. I was very disappointed the first time…

Broken 2 years Best in Kitchenware & Gadgets

The old one works great and should last a lifetime. The new one bought in 2017 pushes the garlic into the sides of the panel instead of pushing it through the holes and the panel gets stuck because the metal deforms and the hinge moves and it takes a lot of force to " to press". the back. to erase it. The differences between the two are pretty obvious: 1. The old one has ribs on the neck that hold the pressure plate in place to prevent side-to-side movement, while the new one doesn't. The press

Disappointed after high expectations

Disappointed after high expectations. I bought a Kuhn Rikon press to replace my old Zyliss based on Cook's Illustrated recommendation and Revain reviews. I've been using it for about a year and am finally giving up. I am planning to buy another Ziliss. I expected an excellent product considering the high price and am disappointed that I had to give it up and buy something else. The problem is that the press doesn't manage to push the garlic through the holes. The perforated plate doesn't fit…

  • Great for a small home
