This tool is great for serving fresh corn to those who can't or don't want to eat it off the cob. It's fast, efficient, easy to clean and store.

This was a big disappointment. A few problems: 1) Ergonomically inconvenient to use; it requires a pushing/twisting motion that is difficult to maintain when you're handling a lot of corn. 2) The cobs vary widely in diameter and the corn twister cannot accommodate. I landed halfway up each piston.

The thing works very cleverly. Of course, Kuhn Rikon is known for quality products and this is no exception. You can remove kernels from a cob of corn in seconds and there will be none left. Due to the construction there is no risk of cuts. And besides all that, it's fun to use.

Each year I buy dozens of corn on the cob, both frozen on the cob and in the kernel. I used a kernel remover and it was messy, and many of the kernels were truncated rather than removed.
