Easy-to-use brush pen to practice

Benefits: Practices handwriting (even if you're not into calligraphy, practice with such a delicate brush that allows you to use lines of different widths to show you what movements you do wrong) - does not run on thin paper for a workbook - feels good in the hand and does not stain the hand with ink - dark black ink - weekly Chinese homework (each write about 40 new characters 30-50 times) Cons: cap doesn't fit tightly on the back of the pen (from - for loops), so it's easy to lose it when…

A stunning, one-of-a-kind pen that's worth every penny!

I gave this pen to an amazing young teenage artist who mainly draws manga! He loved the quality of this black pen! (and he said the "bow" at the end is a great little bonus, which comes in handy!) to show off his work, and he loves having a good pen that's so easily accessible to use to be able to quickly sketch someone too @these exhibitions! (He also LOVES the fact that it's from JAPAN as he's such a big fan of Japanese art!) It was well worth the price for such a unique gift! (+ no problems…

Good brush for practicing (Japanese calligraphy)

I really like using the ultra-fine kanji brush pens because you can use them to write complex letters with many strokes and still keep them small. You can use the pen to create strokes of different sizes. , including variable, width. However, be careful with your writing/drawing technique as the tip can lose its shape and widen if too much pressure is applied. The pen glides smoothly and produces deep black, crisp strokes. But when the ink runs out, this pen creates strokes that are a bit…

Ok but hasn't even had a few months of use

I bought this pen as a tool to use for a month in the drawing project in October. I really liked the feel of the grip initially and the length and balance were perfect for my work. After about a week or so I started having trouble with the lines I drew with this pen. The pen felt like hard felt and initially had a good spring that allowed me to draw nice dynamic lines of varying thickness. After some use I feel like the tip has split so I can't get a clean line when I add pressure, but I do get

Unique pen!

So I experimented with a pen that I can use in class and practice. I was looking for a pen with good rich black ink, easy to read without bleeding through the paper, smooth writing with little drag/pressure and also affordable/durable. I wasn't looking for a luxury pen because I was fed up with it, I wanted something more ergonomic. I found these markers to be the best for my needs and remembered several videos of American professors and mathematicians talking about how awesome pens and chalk…

Best for Beginners Chinese/Japanese Characters

I'm just learning to write Chinese/Japanese Characters/Calligraphy and have been told that a Fude brush/pen would be more convenient than traditional brush/ink (or even water brush) with special water pad). After reading reviews of Fude/brush pens, it became clear that different pens were designed for different uses. For example, a brush that is great for drawing manga may not be the best for Chinese/Japanese characters. And what was good for European calligraphy is usually not ideal for…
