KYB 553239 Gas-a-Just Shock Absorber Review

Ordered 2 of these. One came in a sealed box. One of the shocks worked fine, the other didn't move, stretch or compress. Couldn't install it until it was disabled for refund so I have to order a new one.

Relatively easy to assemble, but the center of the top of the shock seems to be slightly larger than the hole in the body, or the studs are slightly wider than the holes or something. I couldn't get both studs to protrude completely from the holes until I used the persuasion tool and hammered them in. After that everything was easy. They work fine. I've always liked KYB shocks and they cushioned the rear of the BMW well.

In my E36 convertible for two months. I am very happy with them. You should note: They are much stronger/tougher compared to the OEM models. Another headroom.
