A new shock a used

One of the two shocks has been used, the plastic strap holding the shock has been removed and replaced with a piece of wire, the wire was through the bolt holes, can't put the bolts that way. The nuts and bushings were fitted to the shock, not in a sealed package like the other shock, the shock also had scuffs, Revain should keep an eye on that seller.

Very Disappointing: Replacement Parts

Installed these shocks on my Dodge and have since had a noticeable bump whenever I hit a bump or just drive down the road. Tried replacing tie rod ends, balancing new tires, tires and steering dampers, and checking wheel bearings. I re-tightened the damper nuts, thinking they had loosened and causing a knock, but nothing helped. I replaced it with Bilsteins, the knocking was gone, it drives much nicer. I've driven it less than 3,000 miles and it knocked the whole time, I would never recommend…

Received only one hit, no pair, very disappointing!

Nice shock but you make people think you got some electric shocks! Very disappointing to say the least. There's an answer to a question on the same issue that clearly made you think you're getting a pair. It is also possible to buy all three prizes in front, rear and steering stabilizer. Are you telling me that this is for one shock absorber in the front and one in the rear along with the steering stabilizer damper? Who does that! It's fun and very, very dangerous! Live and learn I think I'm…

Great shocks for my heavy Dodge 2500 4x4

Bought this shock for all four tires and after less than 2 weeks I noticed oil was dripping from the passenger side. Upon closer inspection, I saw that it was from a punch. I removed the shock and ordered another, believing it was a manufacturing defect. Waiting for someone else to arrive. From $60 but was really impressed with the ride. I bet he drives a lot better with two good ones up front. Not worth getting my money back! Read what you need to do. Take it to an authorized dealer, show…

Recommended by Les Schwab, he was right!

A good friend of mine worked at Les Schwab for many years. He swore by this brand. When it came time to replace the stock shocks on my Ram 2500, he advised me to use a Monomax. Budget wasn't an issue, I asked him why KYB was better than Bilstein and he said Bs were good but tough. The Monomax is stiff enough to pull/pull thousands of pounds and soft enough to eliminate the chiropractic bill that comes with a 3/4 ton possession. They worked flawlessly, the red towers look elegant and work…

Really helped with driving

Purchased after replacing rear shock absorbers. I was so impressed with how much the Monomax shocks improved the rear that I went with the front as well. I have replaced badly worn Bilstein 5100's. The rear shocks are perfect for handling 50psi on tires with an E-load range. Those front shocks are stiffer. You feel it most when it's cold. After a few bumps and 15 minutes of riding, they smooth out. It's much better to turn and change lanes. A little hard on big bumps but very quick to deal with

It's sad when you can't rely on a site.

Ordered this pair of shock absorbers and also 2 KYB 565019 from another seller. When I received the 565019 kit they were clean and the piston rod was buckled to hold it in the cylinder. When I received this pair (565018) there was black grease on them, paint was peeling off the clasps, boxes were 2-3 times larger than they should be and they were unbuckled. I asked some mechanic friends of mine and they all agreed that they appear to be needed. I'm a single mom on a very limited budget. I…

Very disappointed in these shocks

I bought these shocks for my 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 and it was the worst experience I have ever had. I had the same shocks on my old Dodge and they worked great so I bought them. When I installed them I noticed that the top rubber bushings look small and very soft for this application. My truck is a diesel 4x4 so there's a lot of weight in front of me. When I put the front nuts on, the locknuts were tightened just 1 turn past the nylon insert. I tightened the nuts and thought everything would be…
