🔧 Enhance Performance with KYB KG5785 Gas-a-Just Gas Shock in Silver and White Review

Good hard shock absorbers. Very easy to install on Dodge Ram. Too bad they came with a duster. I installed it without and had no problems. It's difficult to get the 40 pounds of torque you need for a nut coming off the top because the shaft is turning on you. I bought another nut to plug in and prevent future loosening.

Major change in truck handling, 2004 RAM 1500. Couldn't get the shocks through the top bracket high enough to tighten the nuts so I used the old trick. Lower the truck back onto the wheels and then rotate it fully on one side, lower and tighten the nut, then rotate the wheels to the other stop and repeat the same on the other side.

KYB is an AMAZING company that stands behind their products. I've been using them for over ten years and have always been satisfied. The only thing to remember is that they don't come with boots. You have to find them somewhere else. After going to Autozone and Oreilly I had to advance (hate that place) and they were on the shelf. They were semi-universal. Either way, you need dusty boots.

I installed KYB front and KYB Mono Max rear throttle bodies on my Dodge Ram 1500 02. Noticeable change in driving characteristics. . Body roll when cornering is less and significantly better when unloaded than OEM. The Mono max helps a lot with the handling aspects of towing a 3,000-pound tool trailer. Rear vibration and hesitation are gone. I would recommend this setup to anyone looking for increased control of a large vehicle that you work or drive a lot.

About 5 years ago I put Monroe shocks on my '06 Ram 1500 and the ride was fine, I just put these KYB shocks in and stuff the new truck now drives much better
