Control valve issue fixed

This fixed air conditioning issues on a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. If you've looked at the cost of a compressor, you know when I say this thing saved a lot of money.

Worked great on 14 Sonata

Got hot on idle/brake lights etc. High side 150 Low 50-60. Changed to this and ideal pressure 250 high 35 low with 18 ounces of refrigerant. Arrived quickly and worked in a pinch, now I just hope it lasts forever.

Is working. Cheaper than Compressor

2014 Kia Optima, my AC cut off completely out of the blue one day due to sensors and it still had freon but low/high readings were the same. I decided to try this valve and the compressor is working again. A bit cool to check but I can see the compressor working with the gauges.

My 2013 Hyundai Sonata A/C problem has been partially fixed

My Sonata has had sporadic problems for several years. On hot days, the compressor did not turn on for several kilometers the first time it was used. Then it turned on and blew cold for the rest of the day. With this new valve, it turns on instantly and blows colder than ever. My car is new, mileage 97000. Saved me from buying a supercharger. Thank you for this quality piece. It's getting hot here in Florida.

Problem fixed, better than spending over $300 on a compressor!

2011 Sonata This switch did not provide cooling at idle/light but froze you while driving. Pulled the sensors and found 55-70psi on the bottom and 150psi on the top. After some testing I found this ECV bad and couldn't find any OEM. Apparently they want you to replace the compressor due to bad ECV! I ordered this one hoping it would fix the problem as I don't trust replacement parts and it did! The replacement was easy, I could leave the compressor in the car. It took an hour from evacuationโ€ฆ

Easy DIY repair

The air conditioner blew hot and cold. I suspected a supercharger clutch - to my surprise, I found that technology had changed and clutches were a thing of the past. I was pretty sure the valve was to blame and ordered it. Then I remembered that air conditioning evacuation was best left to the professionals, so when the part arrived I went to a couple of local mechanics to see who would do the job. Another surprise - none of the mechanics I spoke to knew what a valve was - one called it aโ€ฆ
