I've tried the flexible hose on my Dyson V8 Animal and the soft brush on my computer keyboard and wooden shutters. It was very easy to hold the vacuum in one hand and the hose and brush in the other while I was cleaning. I understand why so many other reviewers are raving about this product. And considering the cheap price point, this really is a must have for any similar Dyson stick vacuum.

This extension works very well with my V7. It's fairly strong, yet flexible enough to bend and stretch. At first I thought it wouldn't get that long, but it does stretch, which allows it to be pulled into the areas I want to reach and vacuumed with another accessory tool like a crevice tool or a lifting tool. I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to spend money on a Dyson branded accessory.

Someone has complained that it doesn't seal like a genuine Dyson part. I checked the measurements and this one is longer than the original part. I like that it gives flexibility to the vacuum cleaner. But since one hand must always be on the device to press the power button, this isn't as useful as it could be. Don't blame this part, of course. All of those parts are just insanely expensive, but these spares help.

My Dyson V-10 was ALMOST perfect. I have places that are so hard to reach with my vacuum that I would have to bend sticks and take acrobatic classes to reach them. No more. With the extension hose, I can vacuum anywhere, anytime. I can't tell you how helpful this hose has been. I can even use the Dyson to vacuum blinds and between closely spaced pieces of furniture. It was an app that Dyson should have integrated but didn't have. You can't go wrong with this.

This flexible hose allows me to clean in places like behind sofas and around tables where a straight hose could do but is awkward to hold in my hands . This is a nice addition to make the most of the other tools I have for the Dyson vacuum. While there are connectors that will allow you to work with V7 and earlier, the one I have works best with V8 and above. . I also have a Dyson V6 and bought another flex hose for it.
