This thing should draw a lot of electricity! Every time I turn it on, my bathroom light flashes (not sure if that's the right term). This doesn't happen with my other hair tools. When I first bought this I couldn't be happier. It's well made and costs a lot less than more expensive competitors. The first few uses were great, it went up to 450 pretty quickly, didn't tug or burn my hair. Holding it wrong can accidentally turn it off, but that won't break the deal. After about 5 uses I noticed the light is blinking at 450 which means it's still trying to get there. I still haven't seen that it doesn't blink at 450. Then I noticed that it takes longer and longer to heat up.

I haven't had long hair for a long time and was afraid to order a curling iron because I haven't used it since the 90s. I looked around and finally settled on this one. I love the color and style as well as the size. It's 1.25 inches, so it's a good size for me. I have big hands and the grip is very comfortable and I love how easy it is to change settings.
