I wish I had ordered a large one. I have a skinny boyfriend but I washed them first and they shrunk a little and they were a little tight which is NOT what you want in pajama bottoms. However, they are very soft and luxurious, they are BETTER than LLBEAN! They are thicker and therefore SOFT. So next time I'll really consider ordering a larger size (maybe sooner rather than later). I ordered a size large because I have a 36" waist which makes them a bit long but I think they are meant to be worn indoors for lounging or sleeping so who cares if the fit doesn't is absolutely perfect. I love these pajama bottoms! So many flannel pajamas are made from cheap carded cotton (=coarse), but this is quality cotton flannel. The flannel is thick and soft. The pockets are deep and the waistband is well designed. I ordered a small size for me (women) and they fit very well, but I think they are a bit small for a man.
