Although they are big enough I keep pulling them up from behind (again and again) but they won't open up the back taller, so they appear to be made for flat-backed men (FYI I don't have a beer belly, so they don't hang lower in the front). This is a design flaw common to many cheap brands of men's pants and shorts as it allows manufacturers to save on materials. They are good quality but uncomfortable to wear. The material is soft and very comfortable. The shorts stay cool and fit well. The problem is with the cord. As soon as I started tightening it, all of the thread used to sew the lace on broke in several places, making the lace difficult to tie. This happened every time I put on my shorts and tightened the drawstring. As such, I had to remove all of the thread from the top in order to use the shorts. The tip looks unfinished but still works. I wonder if Backstage itself will slowly unravel now…

I was disappointed that the label says they need to be drip dried but I figured since I ordered them much larger than I needed they would be ok if they tumble dried if artificial textile threads don't melt or start a fire. I dried them on the lowest "delicate" setting and not only did they go through the cycle without melting or burning, I don't think they shrunk.
