🔧 LavaLock Santa Maria Grill Ratchet and Paw Gear Review

Matches my grill perfectly. Doesn't come with simple instructions. The paw is set at the 6 o'clock position and a .5" x 5" square tubing is used as the handle.

What can I say other than it works as intended and looks exactly how you envisioned it. So many possible configurations. We gave it to a welder and after 30 minutes it turned out to be something very different than what we originally envisioned, but it still worked perfectly.

I received these parts as a Christmas present to finish the Santa Maria grill I am building. The ratchet and pawl are plasma cut from 1/4" and 1/2" thick steel instead of scrap cast iron. The hole in the ratchet is 1/2" and had to be ground lightly with a grinder to fit the 1/2" round bar. The pawl has a 1/4" mounting hole and a 1/2" x 1/2" grip recess. Overall excellent quality with minimal burrs to remove. I will buy Island Outdoor again.
