The Le Creuset whistling teapot is made of thick-walled steel covered with hard and durable glossy enamel. It can be used on all heating surfaces, including induction. The kettle has a wide bottom, which ensures good contact with the heating source, and as a result, efficient water heating. In fact, a cordless kettle is just as efficient as an electric kettle. The kettle has a heat resistant handle that stays cool to the touch and a loud whistle that rises when pouring water. Water capacity markings are located on the outside of the kettle to avoid overfilling.

The best thing for the money, Im glad I chose this option.

The kettle appears to be well-made; it is made of quality metal and enamel, the fasteners do not protrude, the lid and handle do not get hot, and the lid sits securely.

Pros
  • The first is that there will be no dripping from the spout if you just fill it halfway (such that all three holes are exposed on the inside). Second, the handle will not melt or break when the kettle is turned on the gas. Third, it makes a terrific, resounding whistle. The whistle-like mechanism for opening is a nice touch.
Cons
  • The volume is only 1.6, which isn't a dealbreaker but is worth mentioning. However, in many instances, extra effort is unnecessary.
