Great for girls who love flowers and whose parents want them to understand and learn mechanics. My 3 year old daughter loves it and with my little help she figured out how it all works. I set it up so that when you turn the dials, the little bugs will hit the flower.

Pros
  • This 116 piece set includes brightly colored gears, flowers, butterflies, bees, ladybugs, wavy stems and more!
Cons
  • Secret

Difficult and doesn't work

I have 6 grandchildren, I bought them 5 for Christmas. All said 5 years and older. Our kids who were much older than 5 years old couldn't assemble them and when an adult did they didn't work properly. When they realized they were not to be played with, they threw them all in a box. If not I would return all 5 sets and buy something else. I was very disappointed with these gear products.

Pros
  • Supports critical thinking and problem solving skills while improving fine motor skills
Cons
  • Protection

Doesn't turn easily - gear sets

The idea is exciting, but the pieces are so tight that they are difficult for little hands to turn. So I built it. I rotated it. She looked and quickly lost interest. waste of money for us. 15 minutes of fun. Her favorite thing (the only thing she could do) was putting stickers on. Maybe later, when she's older, she'll like it more, or she'll make a simpler version. We drew a box and by the time she was 4 she wasn't really aware of it. And he loves to build.

Pros
  • Ideal for ages 4+
Cons
  • Some little things
